Map Your Roots

Map Your Roots is an interactive, drop-in program designed to celebrate the diverse backgrounds, identities, and experiences represented within the Southern community.

Participants will have the opportunity to contribute to three collaborative maps by marking where they are from, whether that is internationally, elsewhere in the United States, or within Connecticut—creating a visual representation of the rich diversity found at the Multicultural Center. Students can also test their geography knowledge by participating in a one-minute world map challenge, where they will label as many countries as possible for a chance to win a grand prize. Additionally, participants can answer multicultural and geography-themed trivia questions to earn raffle entries for MCC merchandise or receive smaller participation prizes.
