What do we do?
The Student Government Association (SGA) is dedicated to representing and advocating for our students here at Southern Connecticut State University. As a liaison between students, faculty, and university administration, the SGA works to foster communication, address student concerns, and create opportunities for students to have an active voice in their university community. All students are welcome to attend our weekly meetings, held Mondays from 1:00–2:00 p.m. in The Nest (ASC 217), as well as connect with SGA representatives during office hours throughout the week. Whether you have an idea, a concern, or simply want to get more involved, the SGA is here to listen and help make sure student voices are heard.
How do I get involved?
There are many ways to get involved with the Student Government Association at SCSU! Students interested in serving as an SGA representative can participate in our annual elections, which are held at the end of each semester. You can also get involved simply by attending our weekly meetings, sharing your ideas, and bringing campus concerns or issues to your SGA representatives. Your voice matters, and our representatives are here to listen, advocate on your behalf, and work with you to help find solutions.
